The Day at Toddington Nursery School

Throughout the day, your child will follow a basic routine to ensure stability and continuity.

Children will have their individual needs met as they are encouraged to engage in various activities, play with others and much more…

Free Play

We provide challenging and exciting learning opportunities for children through, role play, imaginative play, construction, creative mark making, puzzles, books and games, allowing children to have free exploration and choices.

Adult-led Activities

These are anything from creative to reading activities where the adult will plan an activity that may be just outside a child’s developmental stage to see what support they need and if they can progress to the next stage.

Forest School

We are lucky enough to have our own Forest School on site. Pre-School children take part in Forest School every Tuesday from 1 to 3pm and Little Explorers have ‘Muddy Mondays’.

Rest & Quiet Times

All children need their quiet times throughout the day.  and we give children the access to our quiet room where they can lie down, read books etc.

Circle Time

This gives children the opportunity to share stories, songs, making music, discussions and conversation about what they have done and what they would like to do as well as sharing and talking about items bought in from home, topics and experiences.

Outside Play

All children love to play and learn outdoors and who children find it hard to concentrate indoors find it much easier to learn outdoors. We include outdoor play and learning sessions and will carry these out in all weathers and at different times of the day.

Meals & Snacks

Toddington Nursery School provides your children with two snacks – morning and afternoon – and a cooked lunch each day.

The First Days

We want your child to feel happy and safe with us. To make sure that both you and your child are completely happy at Toddington Nursery School,, our staff will work closely with you to decide on how to help your child settle into their new environment.
